The individual instructors assign all grades. Each student receives a syllabus at the beginning of the year. Please contact individual teachers if you would like to get a copy of the grading policy for their section.
There are two systems that we use to report grades:
- Powerschool is where grades are posted at each grading period. These are the grades that will end up on official transcripts.
- Schoology is a learning management system that is used by teachers to assign, collect and grade student work. Individual assignments can be accessed, reviewed and verified though Schoology.
MCS parents can create accounts for both PowerSchool (grades and attendance) and Schoology (learning management system). Accounts for these two resources requires special access information that can be obtained using the new MCS Parent Account Lookup (PAL) App. Parents must have these access codes prior to the creation of the parent accounts. To obtain the Access ID and Password for PowerSchool and the Parent Access Code for Schoology, please follow the steps in the Getting Parent Account Codes.
