Summer Food Program for Youth and Teens Ages 1-18

Access to nutritious food is crucial all year round, not just during the school year. That's why Modesto City Schools remains dedicated to providing nutrition support to our community throughout the summer.

This year, our Summer Food Program will provide free lunches daily to anyone aged 18 and under at 22 park locations across the district. The program runs on weekdays until July 31, excluding the June 19 and July 4 holidays, when sites will be closed.

Children and teenagers from ages 1 to 18 are eligible to participate. No income requirements, registration, or identification are necessary to receive a meal. Please note that a child must be present to pick up a meal and must eat their lunch on site.

WEEKLY MENU: All lunches include a choice of 1% unflavored milk, nonfat chocolate milk, seasonal fruit, fresh vegetables, and condiments. All breads are whole grain. * The menu below is subject to change.

  • Monday: Grilled cheese sandwich

  • Tuesday: Turkey and cheese sandwich with garden salsa Sun Chips

  • Wednesday: Corndog

  • Thursday: Twin cheeseburgers

  • Friday: Summer Lunch Kit with Dorito Chip
