Antoinette Chambers, executive secretary to the Board of Education at Modesto City Schools, has been honored with the prestigious ACSA Region 7 Administrator of the Year award for Confidential Employee. Chambers was recognized at the annual regional spring conference on May 2.

Superintendent Dr. Sara Noguchi, who nominated Chambers for the award, praised her commitment to the district’s vision.

"Antoinette not only supports our Board, but she is a catalyst for positive change, both in our schools and the community at large," said Superintendent Dr. Sara Noguchi. "She consistently provides insightful perspectives and champions initiatives that benefit all students."

"I am deeply honored to receive this award. My work is driven by the belief that every student deserves a meaningful educational experience, and I am committed to furthering our district’s efforts to achieve this goal," Chambers said.

Chambers' contributions extend beyond her administrative duties. She actively uplifts Black Student Unions locally, regionally, and statewide and has been instrumental in supporting college tours to Historically Black Colleges and Universities for students. Her leadership in transitioning the Board to a digital agenda platform has also streamlined district operations.

Dr. Noguchi applauded Chambers' exceptional leadership and dedication to professional growth.

"Antoinette’s ability to manage confidential information with the utmost integrity and her innovative approach to enhancing our Board’s efficiency are just a few examples of her outstanding contributions. She is a respected leader who wholeheartedly embraces the values of our district," Dr. Noguchi added.

Chambers' recognition as the ACSA Administrator of the Year for Confidential Employee is a testament to her tireless efforts and commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all students. Her positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills have made her a beloved figure within the district.
